Help for gambling, alcohol, drug and internet addictions using hypnotherapy and hypnosis in Fareham Portsmouth, Winchester & Southampton

Similar urges are responsible for addictions.  Whatever the addiction, whether it is an addiction to alcohol, gambling, drugs etc. it is often driven by an inner need that responds well to our analytical style of therapy.

Substance abuse
No one sets out to become a drug addict or alcoholic.  Most substance abusers use drugs or alcohol to mask or hide from emotional or physical pain.  They see it as a way to escape from their problems.  However, far from making these problems go away, the substance abuse actually makes the problems worse.
Substance abuse can have a negative effect on the users mental and or physical health and often leads to premature death.  The need to take drugs or consume alcohol often affects not only the drug addict or alcoholic but also their families, friends and work colleagues.

If you are finding that you need drugs or alcohol to ‘get through the day’ or to cope in stressful situations then hypnotherapy, hypnoanalysis (hypnosis) can help you. At the Hampshire Hypnotherapy Centre in Fareham, serving Portsmouth, Chichester, Park Gate and Whitely, Southampton, serving Eastleigh, Hedge End, Bitterne and Botley and Winchester, serving Chandlers Ford, Basingstoke, Andover, Alton and Alresford we offer confidential, caring treatment for clients with drug or alcohol related problems.

Spending addiction

You may have Spending Addiction if you buy things to make yourself feel better, to compensate for something you feel is missing in your life or to make yourself feel loved and cared for.

This addiction causes you to lose your sense of rationality when it comes to shopping and spending money on things such as entertainment, gifts and material things that are not a necessity even though it might mean going into debt you cannot afford. The immediate gratification you get from spending far outweighs the negative consequences of the addiction such as debt, guilt, shame or hiding your purchases and/or bank and credit card statements. Perhaps you lie about how much you spend to those closest to you.

If this sounds like you then hypnotherapy, hypnoanalysis (hypnosis) can help you.  Call us today for your life changing appointment in our practices in Fareham, Southampton or Winchester.

Gambling addiction

The number of people with gambling addictions and debts is rising annually. Online gambling has seen a rapid rise in popularity and people who would not have gone to betting shops and casinos are now gambling on the Internet from home.

Taking a risk in anything gives us an adrenalin rush and therefore a natural high. Gambling is taking a risk with money, and the high you get is the same as any other risk in life.

Signs that you may be addicted to gambling include a feeling of euphoria when you win  and a compulsion to try and win more.  Depression when you lose or an inability to stop gambling when you can no longer afford to lose. Perhaps turning to crime to fund your addiction or to pay off debts run up through gambling.  Gamblers often find themselves on a path to destruction, unable to control their addiction even though they risk losing everything including family, friends, their homes and jobs.

The most important thing is to recognise that you have a problem and then seek help as soon as possible.
If you are finding that your gambling is having a negative effect on your life then hypnotherapy, hypnoanalysis (hypnosis) can help you. At the Hampshire Hypnotherapy Centre in Fareham, Southampton and Winchester we offer confidential, caring treatment for clients with gambling related problems.

YOUR QUESTIONS ANSWERED:

How many sessions does it take?

Most people require from 6 to 12 sessions (for most clients the average is 8 sessions)

How much does the session cost?
The cost for the Hypno-analysis is £60 per session.

How long is the session?
Hypno-analysis sessions last approx fifty minutes and should be at weekly intervals.

Where can I have the sessions?
We have practices in Fareham, Southampton & Winchester.

Can I be seen at a weekend?
Our practices are open on a Saturday morning. (Places are limited so please call early to book one of these slots)

Will I remember the session?
You will be able to remember everything that’s said, your not asleep in hypnosis and you don’t lose control. Hypnosis is just a nice comfortable state of relaxation, a state you will have experienced many times in your life already…probably without even realising it.

Why can’t you cure my phobia in just one session, like I’ve seen on TV?
Many people have had phobias and anxieties for many years; something that has affected someone for many years can’t be easily changed for good in just one session. Hypno-analysis is the safest, natural most effective therapy on the planet.

Will the sessions be recorded?
Confidentiality is our utmost concern, we never record sessions. What is said in our consulting room says in our consulting room.

Why would a bottled up emotion from my childhood be causing me a problem in my adult life?
As a child we all bottle up experiences. This bottled up emotion can cause us a variety of symptoms in adult life (click here to see our list of problems treated).

Can I discuss the sessions with anyone?
It is essential that anyone going through Hypno-analysis doesn’t discuss what comes up in the sessions with anyone; this can cause intellectualisation and can slow, or indeed halt the progress altogether. At the end of analysis you could write a book about your sessions, most people prefer not to as they are enjoying their life to the full!

How soon can I be seen?
We make every effort to see you within a week, however our diaries fill up very quickly, so please call today to avoid disappointment. If you have any more questions about our Hypno-analysis sessions then please don’t hesitate to contact us. In the meantime please read the information below where some of your other questions may be answered.
